He was predeceased by: his wife Jannith Ash; his parents, Clifford Ash and Thelma Ash; his brother Kenneth Ash; and his sister-in-law Sue Ash.

He is survived by: his children, Matthew Ash (Jami), Clifford Ash and Kendra Wharton (Matt); his grandchildren, Nicholas, Makayla, Grant and Duncan; his niece Cindy; and his nephew Kenny.
