It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Maureen Rode of Gomer, Ohio, who passed away at the age of 88, on January 28, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold A. Finn and Eleanor L. Finn (O'Connor); her husband Ralph L. Rode; her siblings, Timothy, Michael Finn and Patricia Anderson; her sister-in-law Monica Finn; and her son-in-law John Skarzynski.
She is survived by: her children, Andy Rode (Connie) of Elida, Dan Rode (Ann) of Indian Lake, Tony Rode (Jenny) of Elida, Kathy Skarzynski of Kettering, Patricia Black (Dave) of New Carlisle and Julie Shisler (Bill) of Centerville; her grandchildren, Kim Bowen (Les), Crystal Chapman (Ian), Vanessa Saperstein (Bruce), Amanda Henry (Michael), Laura Skarzynski, Greg Black (Tasha), Sarah Gould (Johnny), Brittany Tyler, Luke Rode, Tyler Rode, Elizabeth ShislerDawson (Zach), Robert Shisler, Lindsay Whitacre (DJ), Hailey Rode and Lily Rode; her great grandchildren, Brielle Neeley, Ruger Neeley, Mackenna Saperstein, Sienna Saperstein, Mason Henry, Asher Henry, Samuel Gould, Cadence Tyler, Atlas Baker and Bane Whitacre; and her siblings, Dennis Finn (Deb) of Franklin, TN, Terry Finn (Rosemary) of Rockford, IL, Sheila Reaman (John) of Cape Elizabeth, ME, Nora Moore (Tim) of Englewood and Colleen Schwartz (Tom) of Lockport, NY. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Gerard Catholic Church (240 W Robb Ave, Lima, OH 45801).
In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to St. Gerard School or Mercy Health Hospice by Compassus of Lima.
