He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Demuth and Helen Demuth (Zimmerman); his wife Jane (Malterer); and his sister Emma Williams. He is survived by: his sons, Karl Demuth (Jenny) of Akron and Steve Demuth (Jennifer) of New Philadelphia; his grandchildren, Curtis, Nathaniel, Thomas, Heather and Megan Demuth; his sister Esther Leggett (Jim); his brother-in-law Jeffery Bernard (Cathy); and his pet Mittens. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the John Heckewelder Memorial Moravian Church, 133 S. Walnut Street or the Gnadenhutten United Methodist Church at 220 N. Walnut Street.
