He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter J. "Skip" Hilton and Minnie L. Hilton (Pfeister); his wife Nancy Ann Metzger; his siblings, Helen L. Chitti, Susan K. Cox and Joe Jeff Hilton; his parents-in-law, Russell D. Metzger and Gretchen W. Brown (Reiss); and his sister-in-law Barbara L. Gray (Metzger).
He is survived by: his children, Herman Hilton Jr. (Karen) of Cuyahoga Falls, Rebecca Smith (Mike) of Kimbolton, Robert J. Hilton (Lorrie) of West Lafayette and Raymond R. Hilton (Amy) of North Canton; his grandchildren, Benjamin Smith, Amanda Kinsey (Nathan), Ashley Hilton, Nicole Hilton and Daniel Smith (Caitlin); his brother Charles R. Hilton (Donna); his brother-in-law Ronald Metzger; and his close friend Harry Monahan. He is also survived by his brother; along with several dear nieces and nephews.
