He was predeceased by: his parents, Mahlon Spears and Ada Green Spears; and his siblings, Ronald, Clarence "Dick", Jerry Spears, Donna Hoppstetter and Sue Rutter (Carl).
He is survived by: his close friend Betty Limo (Limo) of Glouster; and his sister-in-law Alvira Spears. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
