He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Pierce and Dorothy Pierce; his brothers, Jerry and Bill Pierce; and his former wife Regina Pierce.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Pierce (Angel Martin) and Karen Potter (Brandon); his grandchildren, Jessica, Kendra, Shane, Kyler, Dylan (Kayla) and Taylor; his sister Barbara Sanders (James); his former wife Flora Pierce; his stepchildren, Melissa Hart (John) and Bill Cramblit; and his pet Toto. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
