He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Thompson and Violet Nicholson Thompson; and his siblings, Bill, Alfred Thompson, Katherine Russell and Vivian Springer.
He is survived by: his daughters, Amber Eblin (Brian Sedwick) of The Plains and Patricia Eblin of Athens; his granddaughter Kenzie Shreves; his siblings, Dave Thompson of Trimble, Mary Thompson of Glouster and Shirley Thompson of Columbus; and his significant other Charlene Bolin of Nelsonville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
