He was predeceased by: his father Richard Maag; his wife Rita B. Michel; his daughter Theresa Maag; and his brothers, John Maag and Charles Maag.
He is survived by: his children, Amy Vance (Joseph) of Pioneer, Anthony Maag of Glandorf, Anita Lindeman (Jeffrey) of Delphos, Audrey Mueller (David) of Findlay and Angela Johnson (Michael) of Delphos; his grandchildren, Katlyn Craig (Kalib), Alex Maag, Jasmine Maag, Baylee Vonderwell (Brett), Trent Lindeman, Emma Lindeman, Hannah Mueller, Caleb Mueller, Ben Mueller, Nathan Johnson and Garret Johnson; his stepgrandson Justin Vance; his siblings, Mary Kay Gearig (Larry) of Swanton, Daniel Maag (Fritz) of Columbus Grove, Kenneth Maag (Karen) of Ottawa, Gary Maag (Joyce) of Glandorf, Betty Leap (Greg) of Ottawa, Susie Butcher (Bob Barnt) of Elida, Richard Maag (Jo Ann) of Haines City, FL, Barb Walker (Steve) of Ottawa, Cindy Ricker (Jim) of Leipsic and Thomas Maag (Vicki) of Glandorf; and his sister-in-law Pat Maag of Ottawa. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
