He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Burgei and Veronica Burgei (Stratker); and his siblings, Cletus Burgei (Marietta), Clo Knippen (Ray), Rita Wannemacher (Oscar), John Burgei (Mildred), Robert Burgei (Agnes), Vincent Burgei (Mary Lou) and Ann Reindel (Eugene).
He is survived by: his children, Ronald Burgei (Cathy Berrington) of Glandorf, Gerald Burgei (Jeana Rieman) of Delphos, Debra Griffith (Kirk) of Lima, Allan Burgei (Suzanne Limanowski) of Cincinnati and William Burgei (Jill Morman) of Rockwood, MI; and his sisters-in-law, Rosemary Hume (Bruce) of Indianapolis and Audrey Cornelius of Columbus. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorial donations may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf, Putnam County Council on Aging, Putnam County Homecare & Hospice, or a charity of the donor's choice.
