He was predeceased by: his sisters, Alicia Heitmeyer and Carol Brinkman; and his brothers-in-law, Norbert Heitmeyer, Leo Brinkman and William Recker.
He is survived by: his wife Bernice Fuerst; his children, Cheryl Kersh (Dave) of Ottawa, Alan Unterbrink (Mary) of Delphos, Bill Unterbrink of Ottawa, Cindy Schomaeker (Bruce) of Ottawa and Steve Unterbrink (Lynette) of Ottawa; his grandchildren, Amy Wehri (Jared), Kathryn Beaston (Andy), Mandy Weimerskirch (Bryan), Jeff Unterbrink (Allison), Mark Unterbrink (Kendra), Kevin Unterbrink (Holly), Alison Teders (Aaron), Justin Schomaeker (Briana), Alex Schomaeker (Hayley), Travis Schomaeker (Shyla), Brooke Unterbrink, Zac Unterbrink, Nolan Unterbrink and Levi Unterbrink; and his sister Esther Recker of Glandorf. He is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren.
