It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gerald Schmitz of Glandorf, Ohio, who passed away on June 30, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Schmitz and Dorothy Schmitz (Recker); his siblings, Raymond, Alvin (Gertrude), Daniel, William Jr., Kenneth Schmitz, Edna Gerschutz (Albert) and Shirley Kuhlman; and his brother-in-law William Doepker.

He is survived by: his sister Anita Doepker Swary of Ottawa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
