She was predeceased by: her father Wilbur N. "Boots" Kuhlman; her husband Norman R. Birkemeyer; her son Douglas Birkemeyer; her parents-in-law, Harry and Nina Birkemeyer; and her siblings-in-law, Marcia Kuhlman, Alice White, Vincent Birkemeyer and Richard Birkemeyer.

She is survived by: her children, Greg Birkemeyer (Peg) of Beavercreek Twp, Cathy Niese (Dean) of Maumee, Gary Birkemeyer of Glandorf and Beth Heuerman (Tim) of New Cleveland; her grandchildren, Kristin Birkemeyer (Thuron Ham), Jon Birkemeyer (Brandi), Nathan Niese (Jaye Marie Stapleton), Alyssa Niese (Jay), Justin Niese (Stacie), Erica Fischnich (Sean), Ross Heuerman (Katie), Kyle Heuerman (Madalyn Lehman) and Cory Heuerman (Ellie Wenzinger); her great grandchildren, Braylon, Taylor, Canaan, Zaharra, Kylie, Mason, Rowen, Kolten, Peyton, Rylan, Addison, Brooklyn, Kinsley and Corbyn; and her siblings, James Kuhlman (Paul Kuhlman), Joan Oswald (Phil) of Greenville, PA, Helen Hodson (Tom) of Wilmington, Mary Jane Fellers (Rick) of Columbus and Thomas Birkemeyer of Columbus Grove.
