He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Unverferth and Bernadette Unverferth (Heitmeyer); his children, Denny Unverferth and Cindy VanLoo; his siblings, Paul Heitmeyer (Naomi) and JoAnn Trame; and his brother-in-law Dan Stechschulte.
He is survived by: his sons, Roger Unverferth (Lynn Malone) of Ottawa, Dave Unverferth (Tammy) of Van Buren and Alvin "Ace" Unverferth Jr. (Amy) of Glandorf; his grandchildren, John Unverferth, Nicole Butcher (Derrick), Brandon Unverferth, Kaylee Unverferth, Ray Unverferth (Lauren), Evan Unverferth, Ashley Sigler (Todd), Adam Unverferth (Melissa), Corey Unverferth, Courtney Unverferth, Jenny Delzeith (Rick), Petey VanLoo (Tonjia) and Dylan VanLoo (Shannon); his great grandchildren, Jordyn, Elijah, Thatcher, Rachel Unverferth, Peyton, Rori, Axle Butcher, Ella, Easton Sigler, Blakely and Larson Unverferth; his sister Vera Jean Stechschulte of Glandorf; and his brother-in-law Jerry Trame of Ottawa.
