It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Colette (Martin) Chuey of Girard, Ohio, who passed away on February 9, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Martin and Coletta Mae Martin (Near); her husband Ralph B. Chuey; her brother Zack Martin; and her niece Kathy Martin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Erin Meyer (Pat) and Shawna Chuey; her grandchildren, Chris, Emma and Sophia Meyer; her nephew Marty Martin (Darlene); her great-niece Leslie Danielle Diana (Mike); her friends, Quentin, Tony, Greg, Joe, Sherry, Marguerite, Sally, Helen and John; and also Mikey Diana.
The family of Colette requests any memorial contributions can be made to Girard Historical Society and while mailing a donation is greatly appreciated, everyone who knew Colette knows she would have very much like you to visit the Barnhisel House in person during its regular hours, which she would want us to also share with you, the second and fourth Sundays of the month, May-November, call to arrange private or small group tours.
