She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Akins and Carol Louise Irvin Akins; and her siblings, Willie Akins Jr., Peggy Clarett and Freddie Mae Taylor.
She is survived by: her husband Willard Leroy Ball; her children, DuJuan Lamon Ball (Shamonique) of Warren, Brandy Crum (Marcus) of Warren, Ashantii Castleberry (William) of Columbus and Marselle Ball of Warren; and her siblings, James Akins of Youngstown, Calvin Akins (Andrea) of Frankfurt, Germany, Doreen Walker (Leslie) of Warren and Carol Holmes (Glenn) of Girard.
