He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Hill and Irene Hill (Foley); and his brothers, Robert and Walter Hill. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Hill (Street); and his children, David Hill (Victoria) of New Mexico, Ron Garrett of Girard, Kim Dickson (Ray) of McDonald, Tabitha Hobbs (Thomas) of Acworth, Georgia and James Hill II of Girard.
