The memory of Helen Bornemiss of Girard, Ohio, who passed away on January 19, 2025 at the age of 87, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Kope and Marian Kope (O'Neil); her son Ronald Bornemiss; and her sisters, Mary, Peggy and Dorothy.
She is survived by: her husband Martin "Buddy" Bornemiss; her children, Kenneth Bornemiss (Chris), Joseph Bornemiss (Renee) and Barbara Doss (Basem); her grandchildren, Michael Bornemiss, Patrick Bornemiss (Allie), Stephen Bornemiss, Cara Bornemiss, Jenna Bornemiss, Ben Doss, Sara Doss and Nick Doss; her great grandchild Matthew Bornemiss; and her sister Regina Demas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Blackstone Funeral Home (672 Churchill Rd, Girard, OH 44420). A Mass will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Rose Church (48 Main St, Mineral Ridge, OH 44440).
The family suggests any memorial contributions, in memory of Bunnie, can be made to either St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center.
