She was predeceased by: her parents, George Edward and Mary Rosetta Joseph Adkins; her husband Columbus Coleman; and her brother George S. Adkins II. She is survived by: her sons, Andre L. Adkins of Cleveland, Antjuan Adkins (Christine) of Akron and Andrew Adkins (Janika) of Columbus; her sisters, Robinette Blount (Donald) of Lithonia, GA and Michelle Clarett of Poland; her grandchildren, Dominick Johnson of Youngstown, Anijia Stanley-Adkins of Columbus, Amaylah Stanley-Adkins of Columbus, Amorah Stanley-Adkins of Columbus, Anariha Stanley-Adkins of Columbus and Aviah Adkins of Akron; her goddaughter Pamela Johnson; and her close friends, Loretta Young and Ruby Wright. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
