He was predeceased by: his parents, John Day and Carmella Day; his wife Marsha Adams; and his brother John Day, Jr.. He is survived by: his significant other Ann King of Hudson; his stepsons, James and Joseph Whittingham; his brother Dennis Day (Cynthia); his sister-in-law Anne Day; and his granddaughter Hailey Whittingham. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
