He is survived by: his former wife Shirley Wittenauer of Girard; and his children, Donald A., Jr. (Sue) of Beloit, Gary Wittenauer (Elizabeth) of Howland and Donna Carson (Bob) of Youngstown. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
