She was predeceased by: her parents, John Vartzikos and Efthimia Vartzikos; her siblings, Nick Vartzikos and Marina Sarantou; and her great grandchild Zander Merklin.
She is survived by: her husband Perry C. Shinas; her son John D. Shinas of Atlanta, GA; her grandchildren, Athena Merklin (Joe), Taylor Molnar, Aegeas Wiertel and Elijah Wiertel; her great grandchildren, Hailee and Hunter; her siblings, George Vartzikos (Demetra) of Chicago and Xeni Anemodoura of Greece; and also, Mary Anne Molnar (Eugene) of Ormond Beach, FL and Lea Wiertel (Mike) of Bratenahl, OH. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Cleo's name to the Nativity of Theotokos Monastery in Saxonburg, PA or to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
