He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Pettit and Anna Pettit; and his siblings, Marcella Kuch, Joanne and Carl Pettit.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne L. Pettit (Forrer); his daughters, Patricia "Pat" Duff (Michael) and Sarah Shumard (Doug); his grandsons, James Cox, Michael, Shane and Randal Duff; and his great grandchildren, Abrielle, James Cox, Kiya, Mia, Charli and Daisy Duff.
