He was predeceased by: his parents, John Robert and Lena Katherine Theiss (Bailey); his siblings, Doris Eldridge (Gene), Robert Theiss (Jane), Mel Theiss (Exlee) and Ralph Theiss; his grandson Will Thurston; and his son Michael Alan Theiss.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his daughter Mary Grey (Skip); and his grandson Jacob Paul Thurston.
