She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Barnes and Rachel Barnes (Engle); her sons, Tony Brandenburg and Buddy Brandenburg; and her siblings, William Barnes, Bobby Joe Barnes and Marinell Wolf (Freeman).
She is survived by: her son Thomas Johnston; her daughter-in-law Melissa Johnston (Alexander); her granddaughter Jackalyn Jones (Johnston); her great grandchild Tatum Jones; and her brother Tommy Freeman (Donna).
