He was predeceased by: his father Edward Thomas. He is survived by: his mother Patricia Thomas (Graham); his wife Debbie Thomas (Bailey); his sons, Patrick Thomas and Steven Thomas (Randi); his grandchildren, A. J. and Ivy Thomas; his sister Ann Ballard (Steve); and his aunt Marge Freshley.
