He is survived by: his spouse Joyce Shafer (Turner); his children, Dennis Shafer (Lynn) of Anderson Township, Ohio and Vicki Shafer of Georgetown, Ohio; his grandchildren, Erin Lee Suter (Brent) of Cincinnati and Lauren Shafer (Nick Watkins) of Cincinnati, Ohio; his great grandchild Liam Michael Suter; and his siblings, Carl Shafer, Sr. (Pat) of Georgetown and Pauline Groves of Bethel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
