He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mallie Chasteen (Begley) of Harlan and John Chasteen; his daughter Tracy Machelle Thompson; his brothers, Walter, Fred and Oscar Chasteen; his son Casey Chasteen of Covington, Kentucky; his granddaughters, Kelsey Thompson of Ripley and Jessie Thompson of Georgetown, Ohio; his great grandchildren, Demond and Eli Wells; and his siblings, Joyce Gambrel of Cincinnati, Ohio, Roy Chasteen of Harlan and Junior Chasteen of Minnesota.
