He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Butts and Grace Butts (Stansberry); his wife Mary Butts (Ellis); his daughter Connie Lindsey; his sons-in-law, Gary Lindsey and Allen Creek; and his brother Ray L. Butt, Sr..
He is survived by: his children, Jerry Butts of Florida, Linda Creek of Lynchburg and Robert Butts of Williamsburg, Ohio; his grandchildren, Kimberly Keplinger (Brian), Kevin Lindsey (Kristina), Shawn Creek (Burt), Kyle Creek (Jessica), Robbie, Elijah and Delilah Butts; his great grandchildren, Corrin, Connor Keplinger, Logan Lindsey, Mackenzie Creek and Kaelyn Stenger; and his sister Dorothy Sowers of Lansing, Michigan..
Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio In lieu if flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
