He was predeceased by: his wife Chris Kern; his son Jimmy Ray Kern; and his brother Harold. He is survived by: his children, Debbie Palmer (Steve) and Dave Kern; his grandchildren, Jeremy, Jason, Justin, Josh, Jake, Anthony, Ryan and Nicole; his great grandchildren, Jayven, Jayce, Olivia, Ethan, Zoe, Jessica, Jazelyn and Ava; and his sisters, Jeannie, Elsie and Brenda.
