She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lawson and Elizabeth Lawson; her siblings, John Henry, Kendall Lawson, Carol Randall, Jerilyn Garrison and Phyllis Lawson; and her children, James D., Joseph, Jerrett and Janelle Carter.
She is survived by: her siblings, Warren Lawson (Thelma) of Washington, D. C. and Robyn Lightner of Toledo, OH; her grandchildren, James, Ivan, R'yionne and Sharise Carter; and her nieces, Sophia and Tina. She is also survived by other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
