He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Smith and Gwendolyn Smith (Phillips); his daughter Pamela Renee Smith-Hester; his grandson Michael Sneddon; and his siblings, Harold Smith, Pat Post and Brenda Richmond.
He is survived by: his wife Jane; his children, Phillip Christopher, Kim DiRocco (Robert), Candice Vargo (Kevin), Debbie Sneddon and Angela Dial; and his sisters, Donna McKinney, Ila Post, Jean Johnson (Glade), Linda Gilligan and Marilyn Carr.
