He was predeceased by: his son Jason Bernard Small; his sister Beverly Ann McNew; and his grandsons, Colin Clark, Jackson Lawrence, Nicholas and Grayson Bernard Ludwick.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth of Geneva; his daughters, Danielle Smock (Troy) of Roaming Shores, Kristen Clark Sr. (Justin) of Madison and Tara Ludwick (Don) of Madison; his grandchildren, Emily, Clay Lawrence, Cole, Evan Smock, Justin Jr., Avery, Tenley, Paisley Clark, Lauren, Allison, Emma and Kate Ludwick; his sister Betty Oswald (Orland) of Montgomery, Texas; and his brother-in-law Arthur McNew of Wichita. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
