He was predeceased by: his parents, Hayes Piispanen and Alma Keyes Piispanen (Pananen); his brother Daniel Keyes; and his siblings-in-law, Joyce, Cindy Keyes and Julius Fleischmann.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Marie Burkholder of Harpersfield, Ohio.; his siblings, Gordon, Theodore, Thomas Keyes, Karen Dixon, Becky Whitehead, Evelyn Fleischmann and Vickie Stevenson; and his siblings-in-law, Verlin Dixon, Terry Whitehead, Ken Stevenson, Jeff Burkholder, Brenda Keyes and Susan Burkholder. He is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews.
