She was predeceased by: her parent Annah Crites Bishop (Dan Cates); her husband Dan Cates; her father Willard Bishop; her brothers, Wayne Bishop and Robert Bishop; her children, Dianne Lough and Scott Cates; and her grandchildren, Renee Fairbee and David Lough.

She is survived by: her great grandchild Briannah; her brother Donald Bishop (Sally) of Michigan; her children, Larry Cates of Hiram, Barbara Whittenberger (Bill) of Leavittsburg and Dan Wolski (Donna) of Maryland; her son-in-law Dusty Lough; and her grandchildren, Angie McCoy, Dusty Wolfe, Brian Sizemore, Kris Sizemore and Annah Cates.
