Emily Jean Yarish Obituary
Emily Jean Yarish, age 25, formerly of Garrettsville, passed away suddenly on Friday, December 3, 2021. She was born on December 14, 1995, in Chardon, OH, to Michele Silvey and Kurt Yarish, Sr..
She grew up and worked in Garrettsville, OH and moved to North Lawrence, OH with her fiancé, Kenneth Miller. Emily biggest passion, from an early age, was dance. She started dancing with the Walnut Hill Cloggers, introduced by Shanelle Waggoner. Shanelle started her own dance studio, The 8th Count Dance Center, with Emily by her side. Emily quickly grew in the studio and soon became a teacher, choreographer and a great dancer. She went to many competitions and soon led her own dance teams that were very successful. Emily always mentioned her love for her students, families, and co-workers at the studio.
Another passion Emily grew is working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. She enjoyed making her residents smile and feel loved and cared for. Emily's compassion for others always came naturally to her.
She will be deeply missed by her mother, Michele (Jerry Young) Silvey of Brunswick, OH; father, Kurt Yarish, Sr. of Bedford, OH; brothers Kurt, Jr. and Thomas Yarish of Brunswick, OH; sister, Ashley Nasca of Madison, OH; fiancé, Kenneth Miller of North Lawrence, OH; grandparents, Walter and Janice Greenway of Burton, OH; great-Grandmother Shirley Greenway of Burton, OH, and her aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, dear friends, and her beloved cats, Ara and Butter.
Emily was preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard F. and Loretta Yarish of Bedford, OH, as well as great-grandparents, Melvin and Elizabeth Schreckengost of Garrettsville, OH.
