He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Kurtzman and Eleanor Kurtzman; his son Jerry Kurtzman; and his brother Norman Kurtzman. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Kurtzman (Angel); his children, Jeff Kurtzman, Jack Kurtzman, James Kurtzman, Roxanne Kurtzman and Michelle Pesicek (Brett); and his sisters, Betty Haas and Gloria Sellers. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
