With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Danny Deakins of Garrettsville, Ohio, born in Huntsburg, Ohio, who passed away on February 15, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Harry E. Deakins (Edna); and his grandson Brandon Lee. He is survived by: his mother Florence R. Deakins (Frank); his wife Melissa Deakins (Foy); his siblings, Harry (Kay), Rick Deakins (Kathy) and Carolann (Dean); his children, Gary (Simone), Jeremy Lee (Amanda) and Denise Larke (Nate); his grandchildren, Brittany Peters (Cole), Walker Lee, Makenzie Freshly (Tristan), Linsey Lee (Liam Baxter), Ashton, Nathan, Samantha, Grayson Lee, Jonathan and Ryan Larke; and his great grandchildren, Finnegan, Juniper Peters and Graham Freshly. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews; and many, many friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carlson Funeral Home - Garrettsville (8382 Center St, Garrettsville, OH 44231).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the James A. Garfield Athletic Boosters, 10233 State Route 88, Garrettsville, OH, in Danny's name, to honor his memory and love of sports.
