He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E. Grubbs and Evelyn J. Grubbs; and his siblings, Paul E. Grubbs and Marlene E. Pittman. He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, Shirley Grubbs of Medina, OH and Ken Pittman of Oakland, TN; and his nieces and nephews, Kenny Pittman of Lagrange, KY, Matt Pittman (Kelley) of Austin, TX, Melinda Cibula (Steve) of Richfield, OH, Rhonda Perkins (Clay) of Newport, OH and Diane Whitelaw (Matthew) of Medina, OH. He is also survived by 16 great nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Carlson Funeral Homes - Garrettsville (8382 Center St, Garrettsville, OH 44231). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.

“Dear Family, On 3/5/25, I lost a dear friend. We meet in August of 1989 at Hudson Middle School. Chuck was one of the first to welcome me in my new position at HMS. I knew instantly that we were going to be friends. Chuck always had a smile to share, time to give and time to care to all that he met. He was truly devoted to helping kids and did so with a wonderful kind and caring nature. I will miss you and our monthly dinner outings that were filled with great laughter. RIP my friend.”
