He was predeceased by: his wife Candace; his children, Brian, Tarah and Craig; his parents, Edward Svitak and Valerie Svitak; and his sibling Daryl.

He is survived by: his stepsons, Todd Gauman and Shawn Teece; his stepgrandson Dylan Teece; his siblings, David (Donna) and Julie McClintock (Jim); and his sister-in-law Patricia. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
