He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred DeLaughter and Gloria DeLaughter. He is survived by: his wife Marcia DeLaughter (Ezelle); his sons, Cedric and Derek DeLaughter (Tianna); his grandson DeMarien; his sisters, Michele Simmonds (Thomas), Kimberly Thompson (Rodney) and Sharon DeLaughter (Jenise); and his nephew Kyle Thompson.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Eastview United Church of Christ, Hospice of the Western Reserve and Home Instead Senior Care.
