He was predeceased by: his parents, T. Homer Smith and Edith Mackey Smith; and his wife Betty Jean Durham. He is survived by: his children, Jocelyn Gibbs (George), Kevin Smith (Kimbalyn) and Matthew Todd Smith (Patricia); his grandchildren, Sarah Ashley Cheung (Les), Jordan Rachel John (Jerram), Abigail Elizabeth Poppe (Jordan), Mollie Grace Vigeant (Adam) and Stella Gabrielle Smith; his great grandchildren, Finley Therese Cheung, Theron Reid Poppe, Silas Paul Cheung, Sadie Jean Poppe, Lev Michael Vigeant and Magnalia Grace Vigeant; and his brothers, Mark Lynn Smith and Myron Ray Smith.
