It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daniel Mertens of Galloway, Ohio, who passed away on October 16, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Mertens and Clifton Mertens; and his sisters, Ann Micochero, Karen Wescott and Janet Mertens.

He is survived by: his wife Virginia; his children, Julie Wittenberg, Sherry Mertens, Kevin Mertens, David Wood, Liz Florentino and Audrey Wood-Shaffer; and his siblings, Alan Mertens (Maggie), Molly Mertens, Sally Monsey and Christine Mullen (Pete). He is also survived by many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
