He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose Burt and William Smith; and his siblings, Michael, Mark Smith and Cindy Woods.

He is survived by: his son Dale (Lauren); his grandchildren, Ella Gilleran and Owen Gilleran; and his siblings, Cindy McKuin, Donna Morgan, Grace Strahl and Robert Burt Jr..

The family is asking for donations to help with funeral expenses.
