He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Rose and Frances Marie Davis Rose; his grandfathers, Harvey Walter Rose, Daniel Davis and Harvey Walter; his wife Lillian P. Rhodes; his siblings, Juanita (John Harold Drummond), Thelma (Ray Stewart) and William W. Rose; and his brother-in-law Clifford Rhodes.
He is survived by: his children, Dottie Roviscane of Lexington, SC, Roma Irene Warner (John), Russell and Chris of Bowman, SC.; his siblings, Marvella McQuaid (Knapp) of Huntington, WV, Joe Rose (Kathleen), Mercerville, Esther Callicoat, Wilgus, Eileen Smith (Bob), Marlin Rose (Nancy), Thurman and Carolyn Kuhn; and also Patty Vernon. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
He looked forward to working every week with the "Helping Little Hands" quilting project at his church and for several years was the church janitor until he was not physically able to continue due to Parkinson's disease.
