He was predeceased by: his mother Georgia Kail; his brother Jim Burleson; and his brother-in-law Tom Metcalf. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis L. Metcalf; his children, Bill Burleson (Penny), Vicki Stairs (Steve), Connie Massie (Rob) and David Burleson (Lisa); his grandchildren, Chris Stairs, Ben Stairs, Erica Preston, Josh Burleson, Will Burleson, Heath Massie, Hannah Burnett, Stephanie Miceli, Travis Massie, Tim Stairs, Jessica Burleson, Sarah Brown, Elizabeth Rostorfer, Adam Massie and Lawrence Wedemeyer; and his sisters-in-law, Janyce Burleson and Fannie Metcalf. He is also survived by forty-eight great-grandchildren.
