She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernie Phillips and Marcella Louis Campbell Phillips; her husband James Herbert Sands; and her siblings, Doris Montgomery, Florence Short, Betty Phillips, Joe Short, Donald Phillips, James Phillips, Lester Phillips and Blackey Phillips.
She is survived by: her daughters, Christine and Jennifer Phillips; and her close friends, Carolyn Wilt, Ruth Halley and Jackie Smith.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and C. D. C. guidelines, a private graveside services will be held in the Centenary Cemetery, with Pastor Joe Bowers officiating.
