In loving memory of Rose Marie Stoney of Gallipolis, Ohio, who departed this world on November 17, 2024 at the age of 88. Rose Marie leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Halliday Morgan and Lillian Irene Mayo; her stepmother Esther Morgan; her brother James R. Morgan; her stepbrothers, William and Clarence Jackson; and her former husband Carl Young.

She is survived by: her daughter Jane L. Stoney; her grandchild Kassidy Whiting; her pets, Stella and Ginger of Gahanna; her grandchildren, Eric C. Neal (Amber), Kelsea Marie (Alex Bentz) and Mary Caitlin of Westerville; her great grandchildren, Jada Marie, Sawyer Lillian Rose and Riley Rose; her brother Howard Morgan (Linda) of New Orleans; and her friends, Sandra McFarland, Dinah Scott, Althea Howard, Missy and Steve Pyles.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home (810 2nd Ave, Gallipolis, OH 45631). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Paint Creek Baptist Church (833 3rd Ave, Gallipolis, OH 45631).

She served on the City Board of Health, the City Recreation Board, the local unit of the American Heart Association and on the Advisory Board of the Holzer Home Health Agency.
