He was predeceased by: his parents, Omar A. O'Dell and Elma A. Tickham O'Dell; his wife Verdon Helen O'Dell; his siblings, Eva O. Carruthers, Tennise Rickman, Hazel Simpson, Christina DeLong, Margaret Wilson, June O'Dell, Kerns, John, Merrill, Wayne, Donald, William and Loren O'Dell; his niece Carolyn Fisher; and his brother-in-law Herman Stutler.
He is survived by: his son Robert Joe O'Dell (Linda) of Gallipolis; his grandsons, Joey and Josh O'Dell; his nieces, Donna Neal (Roger), Beth Fisher (Jeff) and Holly Stutler; his nephew Jim O'Dell (Pat); and his sister-in-law Mary Sutler.
