He was predeceased by: his parents, Joshua Lewis and Olive Ogle Lewis; his former wife Irene Lewis; his daughter-in-law Keta Lewis; and his sister Viola McGuire.
He is survived by: his children, Sandy Plantz (Kevin) of Gallipolis and Adan Lewis of Wilmington, Ohio; his grandsons, Nathan Plantz (Stephany) of Brookville, Shane Plantz (Jenna) of Gallipolis and Jacob Lewis of Wilmington, Ohio; his great grandchildren, Peyton Plantz, Rowen, Finnick Plantz and River Ray Plantz; and his siblings, Judith Benavidas of Urbana, Patricia Mason of Gallipolis, Elizabeth Shirk (Tim) of Springfield, Ohio, Dan R. Lewis of Patriot and David Lewis (Iva) of Daytona Beach, Florida. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
