He was predeceased by: his parents, Basil Plantz and Belva Wallace Plantz; his wife Shirley Smith Plantz; and his brother Earl Berkley Plantz. He is survived by: his children, Tammy Moore (Ed) of Gallipolis, Tonya Sinclair of Gallipolis, Debbie Saunders (Irvin) of Gallipolis and Michael Plantz (Anna) of Charleston; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Moore (Wade Bing) of Gallipolis, Taylor Curnutte (Brian) of Gallipolis, Brianna White (Brandon) of Falls Church, Virginia and Megan Sinclair (Terry Edens) of Pt; his great grandchildren, Autumn Bing, Kinleigh Edens and Nora White; his siblings, Lois Northup of Troy, Mary Maxon (Carl) of Patriot, Ohio, Dial Plantz of Troy, Linden Plantz of Jackson Center and Basil Plantz of Branson, Missouri; and his sister-in-law Nancy Plantz of Troy, Ohio.
